Dr. Jenell Douglas was first introduced to the field of audiology during her studies at the University of Connecticut, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication sciences and disorders. She was inspired by those who had overcome the challenges of living with hearing loss, and she wanted to give everyone the opportunity to hear their best. She then completed her doctoral degree in audiology at Salus University Osborne College of Audiology.
During the course of her education, Dr. Douglas completed rotations at Aberdeen Audiology, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Princeton Eye and Ear, and Temple University Hospital. She spent her residency at SUNY Downstate Medical to hone her skills in comprehensive audiologic evaluations for all ages, hearing aid consultations and programming, vestibular/balance testing, and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing.
A New York state-licensed audiologist, Jenell holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
She loves being an audiologist because she gets to meet new people and learn about their hearing lifestyle and goals, which allows her to create individualized treatment plans. She takes pride in staying up to date on the latest advancements in hearing aid technology. Each patient’s success is important to her, and she is honored to have the opportunity to promote healthy hearing throughout Brooklyn.
When not at work, she spends her time listening to music, trying new recopies, reading, and attending live performances with family and friends. She says active by dancing and working out.
